DZXRP

History

(Early 2020)

Known as ‘The Deadzone’, DZXRP was a ruthless place to be right from the beginning.

The inaugural season saw two major factions emerge motivated by business, The Ark and The New Dawn.

They capitalised on everything in the post-apocalyptic world leading to hostilities between them, fighting for profit during what came to be known as ‘The Resource War’.

Nails became king as the prominent currency in the new world, and they were earned by any means necessary. After the warring factions found common ground, their relationship began to develop into a cordial one.

The remnants of their prior conflicts continued having an impact on the general population. With much resource placed into the conflicts, both factions found themselves vulnerable having committed so much.

Other survivors knew this and it didn’t take long for more nefarious groups to gain the confidence and seek an opportunity. Bandit groups, cannibals and mercenary groups would relentlessly put pressure on the two factions.

One of the biggest feats of this season was the ability for The Ark to hold ground at their Fortress at the Olovets Factory. Attacked non-stop, the faction had the strength to defend themselves 24 hours a day, seven days a week. An effort which was put into practice during the fortress’ defence.

Season 1 was a stormy period with war and conflict happening regularly as individuals sought to gain their advantage. Needless to say, some groups began looking to the future, establishing what would become the foundations of the future.

The New Dawn rebirthed themselves and founded a town known as ‘Haven’. This is the first recorded settlement in the DZXRP and in response The Ark doubled down on their business dealings post war while The New Dawn looked at contributing to humanity away from capitalism.

The heroes and villains of this Season planted the seeds of what we know now as the DZXRP.

Well, this is where we are now. Who knows what will fill this space in months or years to come.

At the turn of the year, the DZXRP entered it’s biggest and most impactive transition to date. A complete retcon and reset of our lore.

2023 presented brand new opportunities following a year enjoying the expansive updates to Livonia that Bohemia had provided.

Taking us back to Chernarus, December 2022 saw the world begin to be gripped by an unknown infection.

This infection spread like a wildfire with events such as the world cup expediting its spread.

Those who became infected had two outcomes. Become a shell of what you once were with a raging desire to attack and feed, or to fall into a deep sleep as your immune system battled with all its might to protect you.

Either way, those who were left sleeping eventually woke up. Some not so lucky but others, they slowly began to try take account of what had happened.

Eventually, survivors began realising something had went very wrong, they began to do what they could to survive. Some banding together to form communities of their own across South Zagoria.

The Commonwealth of Traders held much of the Northeast but were fraught with violence and internal conflict which eventually led to it’s ultimate demise.

Breakaway settlements began to emerge from the ashes while other locations such as Grishino were saved.

Artillery shells continued to pound the land, with chemical gasses being released as a result. The source of which was still not understood.

Eden’s Gate fell and became a new target for these strikes while the single known link for answers was executed while being escorted for questioning.

As the dust settled in the Northeast, it was anyone’s guess what would happen next.

Episode 1 ended on 25 February 2023.

Following the execution of the only known source of information on the artillery strikes and the fall of territory in the Northeast, realisations began coming clear, survivors started to understand that some things needed to be done, whether desired or not.

Decisions became difficult, ethics questioned, but still, no answers as to why.

Episode 2 began on 26 February 2023.
